Most of the country is now back at home due to new corona measures. And what are you going to do all day, especially if you want to go outside at the weekend? Wicked Wood Games has the ideal solution for you. A game of Cornhole can be completely corona-proof! Follow the simple steps below and make the most of your weekend:
1. Keep the distance of one and a half meters by taking a step to the side
The distance to the other board is of course more than enough. Normally there is 8 meters between the sign on your side and the one on the other side. If you play 1 against 1, it is therefore an option not to start next to each other but opposite each other. This way you always keep enough distance.
Would you rather stand next to each other or play 2 against 2. Even then you can keep enough distance. Fortunately, there is already a sign between you, but just to be safe, take an extra step to the side. The board is 60cm wide, so both take a step of about 50cm to the side and the 1.5 meter is reached.
2. Wear gloves (and a face mask)
To be able to play completely 100% corona-proof, we recommend wearing gloves. Each type basically does its job. This way you ensure that multiple players do not touch the same bags with their hands. It may seem a bit crazy to do at first, but it really helps and after a while you won't even notice you have them on.
A face mask is also nothing to be ashamed of! Even American professionals wear them during all tournaments and matches.
3. Take turns picking up the bags
After each round, pick up the bags on one side of the playing field. This often leads to a moment of contact between the players. Preventing that is very simple. Instead of picking up the bags at the same time, take turns. First one player takes his/her four bags, followed by the other. In this way you prevent any contact moment.
4. Play outside
Although the set can in principle also be suitable for indoor use, we recommend going outside during corona times. Keeping your distance is then a lot easier and everything indicates that infections occur less often in the open air. In short, take your set to the garden, park or beach and play there. And let's face it, isn't it nice to be outside?
5. Maximum 4 players
Of course, nothing is more fun than an extensive Cornhole tournament with as many participants as possible. However, the government advice is to limit groups to a maximum of 4 people. This again prevents a number of contact moments. So play with your family or a few friends, but stick to a game of 2 against 2. Then you can enjoy playing without running too much risk.
Follow these tips and you'll have a great time. Share your Cornhole photos and stories with us, we'd love to see them!
