There is nothing more annoying than playing pool against that one friend who taps one ball into the hole far too professionally, or playing against that girlfriend from the past who played table tennis for two years and now hits all the balls around your ears. Board games or sports are the most fun when everyone can participate enthusiastically, even if you have no talent or if you are doing it for the first time. After all, it's not about winning, unless you win of course.
Low entry level at Cornhole
The great thing about Cornhole is that the entry level is quite low. You will suddenly see friends who have never had a dart on the board win their first game. Even family members who always sat sullenly on the couch because they could never win quickly start to get the itch, you will never have seen them so enthusiastic and fanatically busy.
Rise of board games
Board games are on the rise. In London you cannot walk into a bar without ping pong balls flying around your ears, in the Netherlands you walk to the bar via the jeu de boules court, you have to avoid the darts and your beers are placed on the bar between a box of goose board and 30 seconds. Cornhole has recently been added and with great success.
Because everyone picks it up so easily, everyone has the feeling that they can win and anyone who thinks they can win becomes fanatical. And if your opponent becomes fanatical, you become even more fanatical. It often starts with two people from a group doing it for fun, but the same thing happens everywhere. At the end of the evening everyone is under the spell of Cornhole. In no time, entire tournaments are organized on the evening itself and everyone participates. Why? Because everyone thinks they can win!
