It was another impressive weekend for the Wicked Wood Dutch Development Team , which showed itself on multiple fronts. While part of the team made a splash internationally, the rest put Cornhole on the map in the Netherlands.

Fleur and Thomas shine in Slovenia

In Slovenia, two of our players showed why they are part of the Development Team. Fleur van der Berkmortel and Thomas Hofstee traveled to this beautiful country to participate in an international Cornhole competition. And what results they achieved!

• Fleur van der Berkmortel managed to put down a fantastic performance by taking the victory in the Tier 3 Singles . Her perseverance, focus and technical skills made sure that she left the competition behind and went home with the win. A great performance that we are very proud of!

• Thomas Hofstee held his own in a heavily filled field of participants. He finished in a handsome 17th place in both the singles and the doubles , in which he played together with Aaron Fielder . It is fantastic to see how Thomas continues to develop and show his talent at an international level.

Cornhole spectacle at the Western Experience in Den Bosch

While Fleur and Thomas were shining in Slovenia, the rest of the Development Team was active all weekend at the Western Experience fair in the Brabanthallen in Den Bosch. With more than 8,000 visitors per day, this was the moment to show Cornhole to a wide audience. And we succeeded!

The Wicked Wood players attracted a lot of attention with their demonstrations and workshops. The visitors – young and old – were amazed by the precision and fun with which the team presented Cornhole. The Brabanthallen were deeply impressed by the professionalism and enthusiasm of the players, and that enthusiasm visibly spread to the audience.

An exciting final on Sunday

The weekend in Den Bosch ended with a thrilling final between Robert Wendler and Hans Adam . In a match full of tension and precision, Robert eventually came out on top and took the win. It was a great ending to a weekend full of Cornhole action!
